licensed English teacher, with degree from the Catholic University
of Rio de Janeiro - PUC/RJ, registered with the Brazilian
Ministry of Education and Culture - MEC under number C-45,

A Systems Analysis graduate from PUC/RJ (1983) with post-graduation

She also attended the School of Sociology and Political Science
of PUC/RJ (1964-1965); studied Education at the University
of Miami (1966-1967) and lived abroad for nine consecutive
years— six in the United States and three in Germany,
where she participated in various courses on linguistics and
taught Portuguese at the Berlitz School of Languages.
Returning to Brazil in 1974, she taught English at the Brazilian
Army Command and General Staff School, was a full-time translator
for Morrison Knudsen Internacional de Engenharia through the
end of 1976, when she joined SERPRO - Federal Data Processing
Service following a public examination for the only position
of teacher/technical translator at the National Training Center.
Along her sixteen-year carreer with Serpro (1976-1992), she
was active in diversified projects in the areas of Human Resources,
especially T&D, and Systems Development for the Federal
Government, mainly income tax collection and imports control.
having held the following technical and managerial positions:
Translator/Teacher/Interpreter, Training Technician, Systems
Analyst, Systems Design Coordinator, Head of Systems Design
Sector, and National Human Resources Division Manager with
normative responsibility for nationwide procedures in admissions,
training and development, wages and salaries, fringe benefits
and dismissals.

Inés Domínguez Menéndez,
Uruguayan born, trilingual since her early school years, she
had her first studies at the Liceo Francés de Montevideo
and, from the age of seven on, at the Liceu Franco Brasileiro,
French Section, in Rio de Janeiro.
A graduate from the School of Architecture and Urban Planning,
Universidade Federal Fluminense - UFF (1978-1982), she also
attended, throughout the same period, the School of Language
Studies of the same University.
Since 1978, she has been active in preparing professionals
for proficiency examinations in Spanish and French, as well
as executives for participation in seminars and congresses
abroad.
Since 1982, she has been constantly engaged in translation
and interpreting activities dealing with technical, juridical
and commercial subjects.
Among the companies served by her work are:
Geotécnica S.A., Tecnosolo S.A., IBPQ, Fiocruz, Ecologus,
UERJ - Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro, CEPUERJ -
Language Research Center of UERJ, MUT Engenharia, and Conselho
Brasileiro de Psicologia.
She has been able to maintain her customers for 16 consecutive
years, and in 1994 she joined Bazán Tecnologia e Lingüística
as technical coordinator responsible for the works to/from
Spanish and French. In this position she has been serving
SERPRO, MCG Qualidade, Salles DMB&B, and Embratel, in
regular basis.
